By default, a WordPress website displays the blog page on the home front page. For example, when you go to the Business Blogging 101 website at mcbuzz.wordpress.com you see blog posts with the most recent post at the top of the page and earlier posts below that. WordPress allows you to select a different page as your home page, so that you can display more traditional content like information about yourself or your business. You don’t need a plug in, it is done with coding in your theme.

If you are a developer, check out the WordPress documentation for it:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Author_Templates

If you aren’t a developer, try to find a theme that includes an author listing page or contact a developer who can help you out. Maybe even the author of the theme you are currently using could help you. Their info should be on the Appearance > Themes page with their theme info.

Also, as an alternate option, is there a way to make a “page” redirect to a page you pick?

1) Did you search the plugins on the WordPress site? (I have no idea exactly what you mean by a “press page”.)

2) You can write your own plugin – you just have to learn programming and PHP. But if you don’t know programming and PHP, you can’t.
